The Kentucky Bar Exam is a 2-day exam. Day 1 consists of two 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions in the AM and 6 30-minute Multistate Essay Exam questions in the PM. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam (100 questions in the AM, then 100 questions in the PM).

Administrative Law & Procedure, Agency, Conflict of Laws, Corporations, Domestic Relations, Federal Taxation, Kentucky & Federal Civil Procedure, Partnerships, Personal Property, UCC, Wills, Trusts & Future Interests, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts.
What’s the minimum score for MPRE?

How is the exam scored?
Separate minimum passing standard on each component. Applicants must achieve a scaled score of at least 135 on the MBE and at least 75% on the essay portion. Applicants must pass both the essay and MBE portions of the exam in one sitting.
When are the results released?
Results are released in mid-April for the February exam and in mid-October for the July exam.
Can I transfer my MBE scores from another jurisdiction?
Applicants may transfer MBE scaled scores of at least 135 from another jurisdiction received within the previous three years.
What about reciprocity across states?
In order to be eligible for admission without taking the Kentucky Bar Exam, the applicant must be a member of a reciprocating state bar and have engaged in the active practice of law for 5 of the 7 years immediately preceding the application, have qualifications at the time of original admission sufficient to allow for exam in Kentucky, and be a graduate of an ABA accredited law school.
