What is Arbitration Provisions?

Provisions in a contract which provide for the resolution of any disputes thereunder by way of an arbitration procedure. There is a neutral third party called the arbitrator and this is conducted without the participation of a court, although it may be conducted under court supervision. Arbitration provisions in contracts have for the most part been upheld as enforceable by the courts.
