Form Contract

Learn about the definition for this legal term.

What is Form Contract?

A standard form contract (sometimes referred to as a contract of adhesion, a leonine contract, a take-it-or-leave-it contract, or a boilerplate contract) between two parties, where the terms and conditions favor one of the parties only, and there is no chance for the other to bargain for better terms. The adhesion aspect may be a valid defense to enforcement of the contract.
