What is Mutual Referral of Clients?

A lawyer may agree to refer clients to another lawyer or a nonlawyer professional, in return for referrals back to that lawyer. The client must be told and the reciprocal agreement must not be exclusive. The practice may not interfere with the lawyer's judgment or the providing of substantive legal services.
