What is Soliciting?

A lawyer may not solicit professional employment through person-to-person contact for pecuniary gain unless the other person is a lawyer, a family member, or one who has had a close personal or prior business relationship with the lawyer or law firm. Rule 7.3 governs solicitation and should be consulted for other restrictions pertaining to solicitation.
