"Clear and Convincing" Evidence

What is "Clear and Convincing" Evidence?

A standard of proof required in some cases to prove the thing asserted. That proof which results in reasonable certainty of the truth of the ultimate fact in controversy. More than a preponderance of the evidence but less than proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
