What is Auto Accident?

Under common law, individuals who have caused a car accident have committed a "tort," a private wrong against another (but not rising to the level of an intentional tort or crime). The negligent operator is liable to his passengers and persons in other vehicles injured as a direct result of his negligent or reckless driving.
