What is Release of Liability?

A document wherein the plaintiff/claimant releases forever the defendant and his heirs and successors from any and all liability related to the accident or the occurrences; this is a full release of all claims against the tortfeasor that concludes an amicably resolved tort claim, either before or after the filing of litigation.
