The New Mexico Bar Exam is a 2-day exam. On Day 1 you’ll have six 30-minute Multistate Essay Exam (MEE) questions and two 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam (100 questions in the morning and 100 in the afternoon.
Administrative Law, Agency, Corporations, Equity, Family Law, Federal Jurisdiction and Procedure, Indian Law, NM Community Property Law, Partnerships, Secured Transactions, Wills, Estates & Trusts, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts.

MBE is weighted 50%, the MEE weighted 30% and the MPT weighted 20%. The scores are scaled, combined, and averaged to determine if a passing score of 260 was achieved.
Results are released in late April for the February exam and in late September for the July exam.
New Mexico accept MBE scores from other jurisdictions only if taken in a concurrent exam and the administering jurisdiction agrees to forward the MBE score to New Mexico upon receipt from ACT so that the New Mexico results are not delayed.
New Mexico does not provide for admission on motion; examination is required of all applicants.
